Dave Bautista is slated to star in the upcoming project, “Army of the Dead,” alongside Omari Hardwick, Westworld actor Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, Samantha Win, and Rich Cetrone.
It will be directed by Zack Snyder. The director took to Twitter to announce that it will premiere on Netflix on May 21st. The streaming service has already ordered an animated spin-off prequel titled, “The Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.”
The plot reads, “Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.”
The first teaser for it will debut on Thursday. The former WWE Champion was supposed to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year, but the belief is the ceremony for the class will take place over WrestleMania 37 weekend in a virtual setting.
Since WrestleMania will be held over the course of two nights – April 10th and 11th, the Hall of Fame will likely take place on Thursday, April 8th, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
