The British Bulldog is getting inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame

The latest name for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class has been officially announced.

“The British Bulldog” Dave Boy Smith is set to be inducted. WWE made the announcement on today’s episode of After the Bell with Corey Graves. This comes after Dave Meltzer reported the news on Wrestling Observer Radio last month.

Smith’s daughter Georgia took to Twitter where she commented on the news by writing the following:

“I’ve had to be quiet for over a month... It’s been confirmed and official... Now I can shout it to the world!!!! MY DAD IS BEING INDUCTED INTO THE @WWE HALL OF FAME! I LOVE YOU DAVEY!!!”

Bulldog found a ton of success while in the WWE including reigns as Intercontinental, European, Hardcore, and Tag Team Champion. He passed away at the age of 39 on May 18, 2002.
