The Dudley Boyz said their goodbye on Monday’s episode of RAW in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center and it’s legit as they are now free agents, according to Dave Meltzer. The Dudley Boyz reportedly signed new contracts with WWE, but the contracts had yet to be officially executed. Within the last week, both sides amicably agreed to part ways. It looked like they were teasing that Bubba Ray would turn on D-Von but those plans were dropped.
The reason that WWE did the angle on RAW with The Dudley Boyz, The Shining Stars, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson was to put some heel heat on Anderson and Gallows as well as to leave the door open for a potential match if The Dudleyz return to WWE in the future. Once The Dudleyz walked from the ring to the backstage area after the angle, the entire RAW roster, as well as WWE officials and the McMahons, gave them a standing ovation.
The Dudleyz will continue to operate their Team 3D Wrestling Academy in Florida.
