The issue that caused Drew McIntyre to storm out of WWE Survivor Series has dissipated

Drew McIntyre had been frustrated with WWE earlier this year due to creative and his contract, which is slated to expire in 2024. He once again became frustrated over something that happened in the Men’s WarGames Match on Saturday night when The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio) McIntyre & JD McDonagh lost to Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton.

Post-match, McIntyre stormed out of the ring while holding his eye moments before CM Punk’s music played before slamming the locker room door and leaving the arena.

McIntyre was so angry to the point that when he got to the back, it became a “loud and obvious situation” that was seen by several people. It was a legitimate reaction and not storyline-related.

Raw

On Monday’s Raw, McIntyre had a segment with Seth Rollins where he wanted a World Heavyweight Title shot. Rollins gave the shot to Jey Uso instead, leading to McIntyre headbutting Rollins.

McIntyre later had a backstage segment with Sami Zayn, leading to a match next week on Raw, while Rollins vs. Uso for the title has been booked for the same broadcast.

PWinsider reports McIntyre was cut hard way during his segment with Rollins. It was an accidental deal, likely because he caught the belt with his face. Pwinsider was told that “whatever happened at Survivor Series seemed to have dissipated, and McIntyre was in good spirits prior to the taping.”
