Sami Zayn is slated to make a decision regarding his future as his WWE deal is set to expire in 2022. This was the case for Kevin Owens, but he recently signed a 3-year deal to stay in the promotion that will make him one of the highest-paid wrestlers in the company.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Zayn has possibly re-signed as well based on locker room talk, but it has yet to be confirmed.
Meltzer wrote, “there has also been locker room talk that Sami Zayn (Rami Sebei, 37) did as well, but WWE sources have not confirmed Zayn having signed to us yet.”
Zayn initially signed with WWE in 2013 and thus far in his run with the company, he’s a one-time NXT Champion and has held the Intercontinental Title twice. He was recently given a title match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who defeated Zayn quickly. Zayn has also been doing segments with Brock Lesnar on SmackDown as of late.
