The latest on status of this year’s WWE SummerSlam

The latest update as to what WWE plans to do with this year’s SummerSlam in Boston, MA at the TD Garden has surfaced online.

Last week, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh stated that large-scale events like parades and festivals will not take place this summer. Thus, many people were under the belief that due to these comments, WWE would have to move the show to a different venue.

According to a new report by WrestleVotes, WWE has looked at a few different ideas regarding this show. With just three months to go until it takes place, Vince McMahon does have some time to make a decision.

Some of the ideas include pushing it back until September, looking for a new location in Boston, and more. Here’s the tweet:

“What I’ve learned from sources on SummerSlam.

– WWE wants to remain as is, city of Boston has made it clear that’s not likely

– WWE is actively hunting for a new location w/ fans

– Keep an eye on the South, FL & GA.

– Date MAY be pushed into September

– No word on TakeOver”
