Last week it was reported by Dave Meltzer that there was interest from Ring Of Honor for the Madison Square Garden show scheduled for the day before WrestleMania. The show will run directly against NXT Takeover at the Barclays Center.
The latest on Punk and is the chances are slim and he has told people close to him that he doesn’t have any interest in doing pro wrestling. With that being said, there is still plenty of time to work something out and perhaps he’ll have a change of heart between now and early 2019.
Chris Jericho, however, seems open to the idea of working for other promotions in the United States.
It’s not clear what changed his mind but he previously said that he would not work in the United States out of loyalty to Vince McMahon and WWE. In recent days, he indicated on Twitter that he would be open to working with Impact Wrestling and/or Ring Of Honor for their big show at MSG.
It sounds like 2019 will be an interesting year for pro wrestling.
