The latest on The Undertaker’s WrestleMania status

As the Show Of Shows approaches, there is always going to be a fair amount of speculation regarding what could happen on the Grandest Stage Of Them All. The Undertaker is a WrestleMania staple at this point as his tremendous undefeated streak was a feature of the event for 21 years. But at this stage in his career, The Dead Man is teasing retirement and a return at the same time which is hard to pull off.

John Cena keeps talking about how he doesn’t have a match at WrestleMania yet as he continues trying to get in a big title match in New Orleans. His latest attempt at securing a Mania match comes at Fastlane where he squeezed his way into the multi-man main event for AJ Styles’ WWE Championship.

But The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports the current plan for John Cena is to still face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34. At this point, it is reported the only way this match will change is if Taker gets hurts while training or he changes his mind which is unlikely seeing that he’s The Undertaker. So you can probably expect that to start rolling when Cena is finished with his Fastlane endeavor.

Therefore, reports of Rey Mysterio at Mania are still false at this point because he’s not even under a WWE contract. But you never know what can happen in WWE because Mysterio is supposed to meet with Triple H in person sometime soon to talk about the kind of deal it would take to acquire his services.
