The Young Bucks have updated their bio and the latest from them is only adding fuel to the rumors that Kevin Owens (Kevin Steen) will be the next major WWE star to make the jump to AEW.
As noted on Tuesday, Owens posted the coordinates to Mount Rushmore, a clear reference to his days when he was part of the Mount Rushmore stable in PWG with The Young Bucks and Adam Cole. Owens also updated his bio location to read “Almost there.”
Matt and Nick Jackson poured gasoline on the fire today when they updated their bio to “There.”
As noted last night, Owens’ WWE contract is set to expire a lot sooner than expected. Owens said in 2018 that he signed a 5-year extension but because of WWE restructuring deals during the pandemic, his deal is now set to expire in January of 2022. It will be interesting to find out who else has their contract coming due soon. Many wrestlers in WWE watched AEW All Out and there are many people in the company who are looking at AEW as their potential landing spot. Bray Wyatt’s name has been rumored for AEW, but as previously noted, it is believed that he will go elsewhere.
