The Mighty Mouse gimmick for Adrian Neville may be scrapped; update on plans for him

It appears that plans have changed for Adrian Neville’s main roster gimmick. This time the change of plans might be a good thing. During the last few minutes of Wrestling Observer live, Bryan Alvarez gave an update on Adrian Neville. As noted a few days ago there was an idea to give Adrian Neville a Mighty Mouse gimmick. The plan was to put him under a mask. Neville may be saved from that gimmick.

Alvarez noted that one person told him that there is no call up date for him at the moment and he’ll likely be called up to the roster in the spring. The idea for Neville is more like a “Crash Holly” type of character. That’s not so great but at least it’s better than putting Neville in a mouse costume and mask. Alvarez was told that there were plans to do a Mighty Mouse gimmick for Chris Candido in 1995 but that changed and he was given the BodyDonnas gimmick instead.

Alvarez talks about Neville just after the 1:15 mark. You can listen to the show by clicking on the player below.
