The Miz and Maryse recently did an interview with E! News to talk about several professional wrestling topics. WWE took a portion of the interview and posted it on their YouTube channel. During the clip, Miz discussed his issues with Daniel Bryan over the years. Miz and Bryan began bumping heads on SmackDown Live while Bryan was the brand’s General Manager.
Bryan was unable to compete for WWE as an in-ring talent due to a medical suspension. However, since being reinstated as an active in-ring competitor for the company earlier this year, Bryan has been gunning to get his hands back on Miz inside the WWE ring. He has even challenged Miz to a match at SummerSlam later this month, but Miz believes he’s above that at this point in his career and flat out refused Bryan’s challenge.
During Miz’s interview with E! News, the former Intercontinental Champion talked about Bryan’s WWE return. Miz said he thinks Bryan’s return to in-ring competition has been “a complete 100 percent bust”:
“Do you think Daniel Bryan’s return from injury has been amazing or has been a bust? A complete 100% bust. Everything that I say is the truth and nobody else seems to understand that and I don’t get it.”
