The Miz has been with the WWE for over a decade now and has been established as a veteran who is someone the company can count on. Despite being a solid worker and quite the entertainer while on the microphone, not every month can WWE have him in a program that leads to a match at a pay-per-view event.
This was a prime-time example of just that at last weekend’s WWE TLC pay-per-view event in San Jose, California at the SAP Center on the WWE Network. WWE loaded up the card with over ten matches and there wasn’t just enough room to make for Miz.
This is something that he understands as he talked about it during an interview with Brian Fritz of The Sporting News when asked about not being included on the WWE TLC PPV card.
“You always want to be a part of every show when you’re a WWE superstar. You want to be the main event. You want to be the talk of the entire the entire show. But, sometimes, you’re left off because that’s just the nature of the beast.”
Miz continued by stating, “Sometimes you’re needed, other times you’re not. I looked at it as I need to work harder. I need to try harder but to be completely honest, I don’t know how to work harder because I don’t think anyone works as hard as me.”
