The NXT UK Women’s title match took place before WWE Evolution went on the air

The NXT UK Women’s Championship match was originally supposed to be on the card for WWE Evolution but plans change and it was quietly removed in the last couple of weeks.

Instead, the match took place before the show for the crowd in attendance in Uniondale, NY. NXT UK Champion Rhea Ripley successfully defended the title against Dakota Kai. The crowd was said to be into everything and it was a fast-paced match.

The reason why this match did not air on the pay-per-view is that Ripley’s title win has yet to air on the WWE Network. The UK TV show airings were delayed because WWE was hoping to announce a television deal but that fell through.

There’s no word on if this match will air on the network but it seems unlikely at this point.
