Tomasso Ciampa returned to WWE NXT after being off TV for over 2 months. The last time fans saw him was when he lost to Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver: In Your House in June. Since that time, there has been speculation that he is one of the members of Retribution.
Ciampa quickly beat Jake Atlas and then he followed up by attacking him on the outside of the ring after the match. Towards the end of the beat down, Ciampa did a slingshot spot to cause Atlas’ body to shoot up into from the floor to the ring. Medics ran down to put him on a stretcher but Ciampa snapped again and then hit a DDT on Atlas from the stretcher to the floor.
This week’s episode of WWE NXT was very newsworthy, earlier in the show Karrion Kross relinquished the NXT Championship due to injury and Breezango won the NXT Tag Team Championship. Click here to catch up on the news from tonight’s episode of NXT on USA.
