The reason for WWE SummerSlam crowd’s explicit chant during main event

Last night Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar went head-to-head for the Universal Championship in the main event of WWE SummerSlam.

In the middle of the match, however, fans begun to chant “a**hole” while Lesnar was suplexing Reigns around the ring. This left some viewers at home confused. It turns out that the fans were actually chanting at a security guard at the event. He had confiscated a beach ball that was brought out by some fans.

If you didn’t know already, WWE has had a ton of issues with fans bringing in beach balls to events in the past. They’ve really been cracking down on fans’ ability to bring them into shows.

Also during SummerSlam, fans began chanting “TNA” during the WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Styles and Joe were two pioneers of the TNA brand. They each had several years of success with the promotion before eventually departing for WWE.
