The Revival on being an old school tag team, their presentation, more

The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) spoke with ESPN just before the start of NXT TakeOver: San Antonio, and during the interview, they were asked about playing a character. Dawson said he is not playing a character, but he knows what the question is about. He said that there is a huge chip on his shoulder and he doesn’t hold a grudge against anybody else that knows how good the team is. He stated that he knows that what they can do and what they can accomplish. He added that he could 100 percent fully guarantee it’s not a character.

When asked about being called an old school tag team, Dawson doesn’t think that they’re an old school team but noted that it’s just what they grew up watching and loved it. He noted that their style is what they liked growing up and that it translates in the ring.

When asked about their presentation, Dawson stated that they’re just regular-looking guys wearing trunks and boots. He noted that they have no sparkles and no frills. He pointed out that they don’t do any flips and have no face paint, but rather they just go in the ring and produce and make everyone believe it’s the truth. “We are the truth. We are The Revival, and there is nobody that does it any better than we do.”
