As previously reported, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel had a largely publicized beef earlier this month while on the set of Fast 8, which is scheduled to be released in April of 2017.
The drama started after Johnson took a shot at Diesel via his Instagram account when he wrote “My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.”
Life & Style reports that both Johnson and Diesel amped up the drama between them in order to have a match in WWE. Also, it’s said that they’re playing a prank on people to get publicity.
“They are playing a huge prank, and it’s all for publicity,” a source told Life & Style. “The Rock convinced Vin to amp up the drama between them so they could turn it into a WWE match to help promote the April 2017 release of Fast 8.”
If this report is true then this match would be one of the big matches for WrestleMania. I’m not sure if WWE fans will care about this feud but it will definitely generate more mainstream publicity for the show.
