Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel are being kept away from each other while on their press tour to promote "Fate of the Furious." This was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Last year there reports about tension between both men while on the set of the movie but Universal Studios later claimed that they had buried the hatchet. However, things may not be as cozy as they seem because an insider was quoted as saying, "They're keeping them separated as much as possible."
The entire cast (sans Johnson) was present at CinemaCon in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Johnson was already back in Miami to film an episode of his HBO show "Ballers." Universal continues to downplay the stories and they say that both men are simply on different schedules even though sources say that the CinemaCon scheduling could have been easily accommodated.
The issues reportedly started with Diesel arriving late for his final scene with Johnson and that led to Johnson venting about it on Instagram. Both men were at the trailer launch in New York City back in December but have remained apart for all other events. They are both contractually obligated to appear at the New York City premiere on April 8.
