Last night WWE held its first-ever all-female pay-per-view in Uniondale, New York. WWE Evolution featured some of the biggest female stars in company history, both past and present, and put on a tremendous show. The first-ever Last Woman Standing match between SmackDown Live Women's Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair is a Match Of The Year candidate, while Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella's Raw Women's Title clash surpassed expectations.
WWE also crowned their Mae Young Classic winner, an NXT UK Women's Champion, and it was determined Nia Jax will be Rousey's next challenger for the Raw Women's Title after winning the 20-woman Battle Royal. Overall, Evolution was a big success and one of the better WWE PPV events of the year. In the early stages of the show, former WWE Champion The Rock took to Twitter to congratulate the female stars of WWE on their historic night:
"Congratulations to all the @WWE female Superstars and the company as a whole for tonight’s historic All Women’s PPV #WWEEvolution. From The Fabulous Moolah to Sheri Martel to Wendi Richter etc.. all amazing women paving the way for this incredible night."
