The Rock is teaming up with Amazon for “It Takes Two” movie



Dwayne" The Rock" Johnson is teaming up with Amazon Studios to adapt the popular video game franchise, “It Takes Two,” into a movie.

Variety reports Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia will produce it on behalf of Seven Bucks Productions. Although The Rock could also star in the film, nothing is official for now.

Pat Casey and Josh Miller, who writes for all Sonic the Hedgehog films, are turning the game into a movie and will also serve as executive producers.

The game was first released back in March of 2021 and won several Game of the Year Awards. The plot of the game and now movie follows May and Cody having their minds transported into two dolls that their daughter, Rose, made to represent them at a time when they’re going through a divorce. They have to go through a wild journey to get back into their bodies.

Garcia and Johnson are currently busy with their Hollywood schedules in addition to spearheading the relaunch of the XFL next year.

It was recently announced that two of The Rock’s movies have been pushed back for release. “DC League of Super-Pets” will now be released on July 29, 2022 and “Black Adam” is scheduled for October 21, 2022. In addition to this project, The Rock is producing a new Christmas movie for Amazon.
