The Rock shares his pick for the most important match in WWE history

The Rock decided to chime in and give his pick for “the most important match in WWE history” after the WWE on FOX Twitter account asked the question in a post on Twitter.

The former WWE Champion named the classic Hulk Hogan vs. Iron Sheik match from 1984. He wrote the following:

“Hogan vs Sheik. NYC. Garden. 1984. (seminal match with historic implications and a legit bounty thrown in the mix).”

The match saw Hogan win his first WWE Title and really kick-started Hulkamania although he was already a big star before coming to WWE.

It’s no secret that The Rock grew up as a big Hogan fan and even had the chance to work with him at WrestleMania 18 in 2002 where he went over.

It was reported last week that WWE is hoping The Rock can appear at this year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event to start the build for a possible match at WrestleMania either next year or at WrestleMania 39.
