Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has yet another role in Hollywood lined up.
It was announced on Monday that the former WWE Champion is set to star in the upcoming film "Red One." It will be an Amazon exclusive film.
The Rock, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia from Seven Bucks Productions as well as Amazon Studios will produce the film while Chris Morgan will produce in addition to overseeing the script.
Morgan worked with The Rock on the Fast and Furious spinoff movie, “Hobbs & Shaw.” The movie will be filmed in 2022 with a planned 2023 holiday release.
The Rock has a lot of projections either waiting to be released or preparing to work on them. He will have “Jungle Cruise” premiering later this year in addition to Netflix’s “Red Notice.”
Disney recently announced that a new documentary series, “Behind the Attraction,” is being produced by The Rock while he’s also producing the new Warner Brothers action-flick entitled, “Emergency Contact.” The former WWE star will also star in the upcoming animated "DC League Of Super-Pets."
WWE is reportedly hoping to have The Rock appear at this year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event.
