The Undertaker explains why he was not at WWE Friday Night SmackDown

The FOX premiere of WWE Friday Night SmackDown was packed with several top matches that are usually reserved for pay-per-view events. They did everything possible to load up the show so they could get a big rating including ads for several returning legends.

Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Trish Stratus, Lita and others were some of the names advertised to appear.

The problem is two of the biggest names advertised, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker, were nowhere to be seen. In the cast of Austin, he was in the ad that was shown during the FOX Kickoff show so it must have been a last minute decision to not include him on the show. The only thing that I can think of is that it was decided to keep him off the show once they were able to confirm The Rock's appearance.
