The Undertaker’s days as an in-ring performer may be over. At least, that is how it looks like based on his social media.
Taker recently removed WWE from his Twitter bio and has replaced that with information on how to book him for appearances. As we’ve noted before, Taker has been accepting more autograph signings/Comic Con-type of appearances.
Dave Meltzer recently reported that The Undertaker is not on WWE’s internal list for top matches on this year’s WrestleMania card.
WWE owns The Undertaker trademark so there must be some sort of agreement that allows him to continue using the name but it’s interesting that there has not been a hint of a possible Mania match for him on WWE TV as one would expect that the company would want to promote that fans would have once last chance to see him in the ring for his retirement match.
One other interesting note is that an email was sent out a couple of weeks ago and Taker was listed as a WWE Hall Of Famer. Perhaps, it was a mistake by WWE’s web department or there are plans to induct him this year. We should know soon because Hall Of Fame tickets are expected to go on sale in the next couple of weeks and they usually like to announce one major name ahead of tickets going on sale.
