Since the news broke of Daffney passing away at the age of 46, the wrestling world has been reacting.
Shannon Spruill was known to wrestling fans for her time in WCW and TNA. Daffney made her WCW debut in 1999 by playing a Goth character who was aligned with Crowbar and David Flair. In 2000, she won the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.
She later went to work for TNA Wrestling and portrayed the Daffney character. She later filed a workers compensation lawsuit against the promotion that was settled out of court in 2013. The lawsuit was to help her pay for her medical bills for injuries that she suffered during her time with the company. She also suffered multiple concussions.
