The wrestling world reacts to the passing of Tracy Smothers

Tracy Smothers has passed away at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer.

He had been diagnosed in November with Lymphoma. Smothers got his start in the pro wrestling business back in 1982 before having runs in WCW, WWE, and ECW.

He worked in WCW as part of The Southern Boys and later The Young Pistols while having a stint in WWE as Freddie Joe Floyd.

Most fans will remember his success in Jim Cornette’s Smoky Mountain Wrestling where he won their top championship, SMW Heavyweight Title twice.
