The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of SI.com about re-signing with ROH and why they did not sign with WWE. The brothers explained that the schedule with ROH and NJPW is perfect for them and their families. Nick stated that they still have the rights to sell their merchandise and have freedom of what they can do in the ring, which is priceless to them. “We’re as happy as can be. If fans are disappointed that we didn’t sign with WWE, I understand why—but family comes first and I hope they can understand that. But to WWE fans, well, never say never.” Matt noted that it was such an easy choice (money and the schedule). He said that it’s tough to find happiness in pro wrestling and that they’re happy. He said that one day he would love to work for WWE and that there is a lot of talented people in the company.

Matt Hardy appeared on the big screen at the ROH Final Battle PPV event and challenged them to a match, which will take place on WrestleMania weekend next year. Matt stated that they plan to visit the Hardy Compound this year and the Hardys vs. Bucks match needs to happen on a large stage as it’s one of the last money matches left. Nick stated that they would have loved to have been a part of Total Nonstop Deletion, but they were in Japan when it was filmed. "This feud is just an organic, natural thing. Our career paths are very similar, and we always get compared to them.” He added that it’s a feud he has always wanted and that he is happy that it’s happening.

The Young Bucks also talked about Kenny Omega challenging Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Title at Wrestle Kingdom 11 and more. You can check out the entire interview here.
