Vice recently did a profile article on ROH World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks. In the article, Matt Jackson was asked about AJ Styles wanting them to go WWE with him in January of 2015. Jackson noted that Styles was about to leave NJPW and go to WWE so he pulled them aside before he told NJPW that he was not re-signing with the promotion. He asked them about their contracts and at that point in time, it was December and they had just signed new contracts with NJPW in November. “He's like, 'You did? Ughhh.' The idea was he was going to try and get us to walk out with him and be the guys with him... If we never signed, there's a great chance we could have been walking out on Raw with those guys, I feel."

When asked about possibly signing with WWE when their ROH contracts expire in two years, Matt said maybe they would think about it. “If we're ever going to go to [WWE], let's go now. Because it's going to be now or never.” Matt added that if you want to be known as the greatest of all time, then you have to go to WWE because that’s what the fans think. He added that unless you are a WWE Hall of Fame, then you have wasted your career in the eyes of the fans.
