There Are Big Plans For Omos But He Won’t Be Appearing On WWE TV Anytime Soon

WWE may be looking to send “The Nigerian Giant” Omos south of the border for his next assignment. A new report indicates that WWE creative has discussed sending the colossal superstar to Mexico’s Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide for a run.

WWE Considering AAA Run For Omos

According to a report from WrestleVotes, discussions have taken place within WWE creative about having Omos appear for the major Mexican promotion. The goal of the potential move would be to “further establish him as a true special attraction outside the WWE bubble.”

Building A Global ‘Special Attraction’

This strategy would be similar to other recent moves for the giant. The report compared the idea to his “brief NOAH stint this past winter,” where Omos traveled to Japan to compete for Pro Wrestling NOAH. A run in AAA would be the next step in building his reputation as a unique, global attraction that can appear in WWE’s partner promotions.

A potential run for Omos in AAA would further strengthen the working relationship between WWE and the Mexican promotion. In recent months, several crossovers have occurred, most notably with Legado Del Fantasma’s Angel and Berto winning the AAA Tag Team Championship and appearing with the titles on WWE programming. The addition of a special attraction like Omos would be the most high-profile talent exchange between the two companies to date.
