There Have Been Creative Ideas Discussed For Injured WWE Star

An injured WWE star is getting closer to returning to in-ring action.

Asuka has been sidelined after undergoing knee surgery last year. Despite speculation of an injury, Asuka continued to work matches, including at Backlash France in April, losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

After she announced she was taking a break due to the knee injury, she got the surgery and began doing rehab. Asuka has documented her journey through various vlogs on her YouTube channel.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that creative plans have been discussed and pitched regarding Asuka. One option pitched was a potential tag team match. However, that ended up getting shot down.

As it stands, for now, it’s unclear when Asuka will return from injury. They have not heard of her being at the Performance Center training or her status for the Royal Rumble.
