Liv Morgan was arrested on Thursday in Sumter County, Florida, following a traffic stop as police found that she was in possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) and possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoids.
The arrest
According to the sheriff’s deputy, Morgan was pulled over after her vehicle crossed over the white and yellow lines of a County Road. This led to the deputy smelling marijuana when talking with her, and later found a “small plastic bag containing marijuana” and a vape pen with an “oil-like substance” that was discovered to be marijuana.
Morgan has since been bonded out. In the state of Florida, marijuana is legal to purchase with a prescription.
WWE’s reaction
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that there is “absolutely no heat” on Morgan following the arrest. He was also able to get quotes from some people in WWE.
A staff member said, “Liv has not been on TV, did not alter creative plans, and was honest about the situation. There are no issues with her whatsoever.”
A top star said, “Everybody liked Liv before, everybody still likes Liv. We’ll get our jokes off, and she’ll get hers off, and nobody will be thinking about it soon enough.”
It should be noted that while marijuana is in the Wellness Policy, WWE has not tested for it for years. In the past, if you tested positive, it would be a $2500 fine.
