Aleister Black was released by WWE last week alongside other stars such as Braun Strowman and Buddy Murphy due to budget cuts.
While Strowman was a surprising cut, Black was also an interesting departure as he had just been brought back to television to start a feud with Big E.
Pwinsider.com reports “that in certain corners of the company, there’s been some talk that Aleister Black was cut prematurely and a push that the company should bring him back in.”
As it stands right now, there’s no word yet on whether this will actually happen. It was added that “there’s been a feeling that of everyone Black was cut too soon and was more the victim of broken promises and start/stop creative more than of anything that he did” on his own.
Black is under a 90-day non-compete clause until August 31st. He does already have his first post-WWE booking set as Black will be appearing from 10am-2pm at the Big Event convention on Saturday, November 13 in East Elmhurst, NY, from the LaGuardia Airport Marriott.
