As many of you saw on Monday, Brock Lesnar appeared on Raw and brutally attacked Cody Rhodes with Cody’s mother sitting at ringside. See the footage below.
Rhodes and Lesnar have been feuding for months and in the storyline, Brock has broken Cody’s arm and there’s an intense hatred on both sides. But the one question that has yet to be answered is why are they feuding with each other? Brock turned on Cody on the night after WrestleMania and there was never a real answer given on why he did that and what Brock’s issue with Cody is.
There’s a thread on Twitter that has gotten a lot of traction in the few hours that says, “it still hasn’t been addressed why these two are beefing.” One theory is that this is all Paul Heyman’s doing and he cut a secret deal with Lesnar to take out Cody so that Cody can’t come back and challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship again.
There’s still plenty of time for the questions to be answered and perhaps we’ll know more before SummerSlam when Cody and Brock will have their rubber match.
