Things Were Said to Be Tense With Madusa During Taping of WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures

On the latest episode of Mick Foley’s “Foley Is Pod” podcast, Foley hinted about what happens on an upcoming episode of WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures:

“Things got a little tense with Madusa where I was worried about how she was going to come across, but I don’t want to give too much away. Let’s just say there’s a reason why that women’s championship belt wasn’t on display at the Royal Rumble.”

During the main portion of the podcast, Foley said he wanted to reach out to WCW to appear on Nitro as a high profile enhancement guy while he was working in ECW:

“I wanted to reach out to WCW and see if they’d be open to having me just appear on their Nitro shows where I would be like a high profile enhancement guy. It was Paul (Heyman) who told me, ‘First of all Cactus, we can’t have you losing matches on WCW and being a top guy here. I said, ‘Paul, I just feel like with what I’m making in Japan, what I’m making here, say I made an extra $500 a week there, I can make a pretty good living for my family.’ He was like, ‘Cactus, you have a much brighter career than you realize.’ He was the first person to make me believe that WWE might be interested in me because I had completely written them off. I was not a WWE guy. That’s why when I was doing the anti-hardcore promos, I was talking about WCW because first of all, I thought the fans had a secret hidden respect for WWE that they did not have for WCW even though anytime a star from WCW came in, they were received with great enthusiasm. So I was happy. I was looking at it and I was like,’Well, this career is going to be limited.'”

On Seth Rollins being cast in the upcoming movie, “Captain America: New World Order” as well as Becky Lynch’s upcoming memoir:

“How cool is that? Wow, man, I just heard one of the Captain America movies. I still think Becky would be the perfect choice if they ever did a live action of Brave. I just can’t see anyone else besides Becky. Did I tell you I’ve been like one of the few pre-readers of Becky’s memoir? She wrote it all herself. I love it. She’s way too tough on herself in general. She’ll say, ‘I hope I didn’t put you to sleep’, or whatever it is. I’m like, ‘Becky, this is really good. It’s full of heart. It’s you. It’s a great story and I think it’s going to be one of the most, not just successful wrestling books in years, but really important books.'”
