Third competitor announced for WWE NXT Gauntlet Eliminator Match

WWE is announcing one new competitor for the upcoming Gauntlet Eliminator Match on Wednesday’s episode of NXT every day.

On Saturday, the third star was added to the contest, which was Kyle O’Reilly. He joins KUSHIDA and Cameron Grimes in the contest. The final two competitors will be announced on Sunday and Monday to round out the five superstar match.

The winner of this match will earn the chance to challenge NXT Champion Finn Balor at the TakeOver event on October 4th.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has talked about running the next NXT TakeOver special outside of Full Sail University.

This would be a change to what WWE has been doing as all NXT events during the COVID-19 pandemic have taken place in Winter Park, Florida.
