Thunder Rosa appears to be on her way to WWE

It’s looking more likely that Thunder Rosa is headed to WWE after she lost the NWA Women’s Championship to Serena Deeb on Tuesday night.

We noted earlier on the site that Dave Meltzer had mentioned on Twitter that not only did he hear that the title change was happening ahead of time, but also that Rosa had interest from both AEW and WWE.

Meltzer later wrote the following on the message board on F4Wonline.com:

“I think Rosa is going to WWE. I was told 2-3 weeks ago that Deeb was winning and Rosa was going to WWE and the first part just happened. If Rosa was going to AEW, she could keep her NWA Title.”

Rosa also posted this cryptic message on her Twitter account before plugging her new merchandise.

Typically when WWE signs a wrestler to a contract, they have the wrestler finish up their independent bookings before joining the promotion. Since we live in the COVID-19 pandemic right now, not a lot of promotions are running shows.

Rosa had been appearing on AEW Dynamite over the last couple of months, but that appears to be over if she has indeed signed with WWE.

AEW has already confirmed that Serena Deeb will defend the NWA Women’s Title on tonight’s Dynamite against Leyla Hirsch.
