WWE Tag Team Women’s Champion Natalya suffered an ankle injury in a non-title match on Monday’s episode of Raw in Kansas City, MO at the T-Mobile Center.
She teamed up with Tamina to take on Eva Marie and Dewdrop. Post-match, Natalya was helped to the back by Tamina and a medical staff member as Natalya clearly couldn’t put any pressure on her right leg.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Natalya received good news after getting an MRI on the ankle following the match.
Meltzer noted that “evidently the results were better than expected as we were told she’s only expected out for a few weeks.”
As it stands right now, it looks like WWE may not strip Natalya and Tamina of the titles. That could’ve been the case if Natalya needed surgery to repair the injury and would be out of action for a significant amount of time.
