WWE has added an Intercontinental Championship match to tonight’s Raw, with Penta defending the title against Je’Von Evans just two days after retaining at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Per WWE.com, the title match is now confirmed for the Raw broadcast from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, OH.
“Intercontinental Champion Penta continues to build his reputation as a true fighting champion as he prepares to battle the dynamic Je’Von Evans in a title match. Find out who will leave Raw with the title, tonight at 8 ET/5 PT on Netflix.”
Penta retained the Intercontinental Championship over Ethan Page at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV in Fort Wayne on May 23, and then he is going right back into a title defense against Evans just 48 hours later on Raw.
Evans previously challenged for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 42, where Penta retained in a six-pack ladder match. Penta has held the Intercontinental Championship since winning it from Dominik Mysterio in March. The reign currently sits at 84 days, approaching the three-month mark.
