Title match and six-pack challenge announced for tonight’s WWE SmackDown

WWE has started to announce matches for tonight’s episode of SmackDown as two bouts have been revealed. First up, Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura will challenge The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles on the show.

Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura earned a title shot for the titles by defeating The Usos via disqualification in a non-title match on Raw this past week. As of mid-week, this bout wasn’t scheduled for Sunday’s Hell in a Cell event, but is planned for Money in the Bank on July 2. That plan has impacted what WWE originally had planned for Roman Reigns at the show.

The other bout confirmed for the show is Raquel Rodriguez, Aliyah, Shayna Baszler, Natalya, Shotzi, and Xia Li competing in a six-pack challenge to determine who will be the next star to challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Before Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE due to creative differences, WWE was planning for Banks to challenge Rousey for the title at Hell in a Cell.

The only other thing announced for SmackDown is the return of Madcap Moss, who might be getting a character makeover after being off television for several weeks when he was attacked by Baron Corbin.
