Hulk Hogan has made his return to WWE TV. Over the weekend, the WWE Hall Of Famer served as the special guest host of WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. The event already had enough controversy as it is, however, WWE decided it was the best time to re-introduce Hogan to the WWE Universe.
Hogan’s reinvolvement in WWE is a controversial topic due to his past racist comments which leaked out to the public when a sex tape of his leaked out online. WWE terminated their contract with Hogan as a result and blacklisted him from the company. Over recent years, however, Hogan has slowly been eased back into the company.
Recently, WWE star Titus O’Neil did an interview with Sky Sports to offer his thoughts on Hogan’s reinvolvement with WWE. Here’s what he had to say:
“It’s not my decision who goes where, I support whatever decision the company goes with,” O’Neil said. “But at the same time we are all independent thinkers; I have no ill will towards Hulk Hogan whatsoever. He’s a part of the WWE family and as a part of the WWE family we embrace him and we’ll make whatever we have to work, work.”
O’Neil went on to say that WWE is a business, and is purely entertainment. The decision to have Hogan appear at Crown Jewel was strictly from an entertainment basis:
“At the end of the day we’re all entertainers, we’re not politicians, we’re not advocates for one thing or another unless we choose to be and there’s not been one entertainer in the history of WWE who has been at a higher level of WWE than Hulk Hogan,” stated O’Neil.
“Him going over to Saudi Arabia was a decision that was made solely on the basis of being entertaining and I know the princes and the fans over there ate it up.”
