TNA Wrestling has announced that the scheduled bout between The Hardys and Team 3D at this Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view will now have both the TNA and NXT World Tag Team Championships on the line.
The championship announcement follows the events of the recent NXT vs. TNA Showdown special. The Hardys, who entered the event as the reigning TNA Tag Team Champions, defeated Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin of DarkState to capture the NXT Tag Team titles for the first time in their careers. Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley were seated in the front row for the match.
While it is The Hardys inaugural reign with the NXT belts, they are currently in their fourth reign as the TNA World Tag Team Champions. They won the TNA titles at the Slammiversary pay-per-view event this past July. Their opponents, Team 3D, are longtime rivals dating back to the Attitude Era of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The championship match at Bound for Glory will be a tables match. The bout is also being promoted by the company as the final time the two legendary tag teams will ever compete against one another. The event is set to take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The full lineup for TNA Bound for Glory is as follows:
