TNA Wrestling has reportedly set its sights on a recently departed WWE star.
According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, TNA has interest in former WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion Apollo Crews. Crews was let go by WWE in April 2026 as part of a wave of roster cuts, ending an 11-year run with the company that also included a reign as NXT Champion.
Per the report, Crews has been discussed internally as a potential roster addition for later this year, once he becomes available. However, it is unclear exactly where things stand, particularly in the wake of the significant changes TNA has undergone recently, including the departures of Tommy Dreamer, Sami Callihan, and others.
The timing of any potential arrival is a key factor. Crews’ exact non-compete status is unknown, but as of this writing, it would not yet have surpassed the standard 90-day mark if that is his situation. That detail is notable given TNA’s upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view on June 28 in Boston, where Mustafa Ali is scheduled to defend the TNA International Championship in an open challenge against an as-yet-unrevealed opponent.
