TNA Star Makes Surprise Appearance At WWE NXT Live Event

Top TNA star Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance at the WWE NXT live event on Saturday, September 13, from the Engelwood Neighborhood Center in Orlando, Florida. The ongoing partnership has been one of the most talked-about stories in wrestling in 2025.

According to the full results from the live event, courtesy of Wrestling Bodyslam, Joe Hendry was a part of the main event of the evening. He teamed with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, as well as Shiloh Hill, in an eight-man tag team match. Their opponents were the DarkState faction, which consisted of Osiris Griffin, Dion Lennox, Cutler James, and Saquon Shugars. The heel group was able to pick up the victory in the main event.

Hendry has become a semi-regular on the brand in recent months as part of the ongoing partnership between the two companies. He recently competed on the August 12 episode of NXT, where he scored a victory over Charlie Dempsey. He has also been featured on NXT premium live events in the past, including a memorable encounter with Randy Orton at WrestleMania.

The partnership has been a two-way street, with several NXT stars also making their way to TNA. The reigning TNA World Champion is NXT’s Trick Williams, and the NXT Women’s Champion, Jacy Jayne, recently held the TNA Knockouts World Championship. The rest of the NXT live event in Orlando featured several other matches.

In other action, Thea Hail defeated Wendy Choo, Je’von Evans was victorious over Brooks Jensen, and Chase U picked up a win in tag team action.
