Today’s WWE SmackDown tapings have been canceled

WWE just told that talent that the SmackDown tapings that were scheduled for this afternoon have been canceled. The reason for this is because tapings were delayed because COVID-19 test results did not arrive in time. They were supposed to start taping at 11 am but results did not start to come in until a few minutes ago.

Everyone was told that they would be needed on June 26 with the plan to do a live to taped episode of SmackDown. This coming Friday’s episode of SmackDown was already taped this past Monday.

As of this writing, Vince McMahon still plans on taping next Monday’s Raw this afternoon. NXT will air live tonight from Full Sail and they still plan on taping episodes of Main Event and 205 Live later this evening.

For those of you that have asked about why they aren’t going live every week, they want to tape as many shows in advance to limit the amount of people traveling back and forth every week.
