NXT star Tommaso Ciampa took to his official Twitter account to comment on his 9 year journey back to the WWE and having to work hard to get another shot with NXT. He posted this:
“9 years ago today, I was released from my developmental contract in OVW. I was told, ‘go find yourself, get over, and then come back.’ I would not trade my journey for anything. My story is one filled with mistakes, failures, missed opportunity, disappointment, regret and criticism. For the average person, there are no secrets to succeeding in this business. Work hard. Be persistent. Remain humble. But maybe more so than anything else…stick around long enough and eat enough sh*t to develop a warranted chip on your shoulder…then strip down the imaginary barriers, believe in yourself, and have the courage to bet on yourself.”
