Tommaso Ciampa fires back after Randy Orton makes fun of WWE NXT wrestlers who slap their leg during matches
There was a not-so-friendly Twitter exchange between Randy Orton and Tommasso Ciampa earlier today.
It started just a few hours after the WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House show when Orton gave a backhanded compliment to the roster. The backhanded part was when he mocked the wrestlers who slap their leg during matches to make noise for kicks.
Orton tweeted, “Heard #WWENXT #TakeoverInYourHouse was great! Slappin my leg for you guys. Sincerely #legslap”

Ciampa fired back at Orton with the following tweet: “My daughter has been having trouble sleeping. Luckily I found a remedy. Randy Orton matches. Better than NyQuil. Sincerely #AnEntireLockerRoomWhoBustedTheirAsses”

Orton fired back at Ciampa: “Looks like I hurt the feelings of the self appointed lockeroom leader of a wrestling school. Let me know what time #legslap class starts so I can take my game to the next level.”

Many veteran wrestlers have taken issue with leg slapping during matches so Orton’s comments about the NXT roster appear to be genuine. Of course, there’s always a chance that this is something they have worked out for a potential feud in the future whenever Ciampa moves up to the main roster. Given Orton’s history of saying whatever he wants on social media, there is a very good chance that there is real heat between Orton and Ciampa.
