Tommy Dreamer issues statement/apology for his comments on Dark Side of the Ring

Tommy Dreamer issued a statement on his Facebook account today about his comments on Dark Side of the Ring.

Dreamer received a lot of backlash online after he seemingly brushed off Flair’s actions on the “Plane Ride from Hell” as harmless horseplay.

Hours after the show aired, Ed Nordholm announced to his talent and staff that Dreamer would be “indefinitely suspended” from Impact Wrestling.

Here is Dreamer’s statement:

“Regarding my comments made on Dark Side of the Ring
It was never my intention to offend, hurt or victim shame anyone
I understand my comments were insensitive and could trigger emotions in someone’s own personal past.
I do not condone sexual misconduct of any kind.
I apologize to anyone I offended.
From the bottom of my heart
I am so sorry”

As of this writing, Flair has yet to issue a public statement. Car Shield announced on Friday that their ads with Flair on them would be pulled from TV.
