Less than 24 hours after a grueling championship defense at AEW All In: Texas, “Timeless” Toni Storm appeared at an independent wrestling show. The AEW Women’s World Champion traveled to Portland, Oregon, for Prestige Wrestling’s ‘Combat Clash’ event on Sunday.
Storm Retains Title Against Mercedes Moné
On Saturday night at AEW’s biggest show of the year, Toni Storm successfully defended her AEW Women’s World Championship against “The CEO” Mercedes Moné. The victory marked Storm’s fourth successful title defense in her current reign and was notable for being Moné’s first singles loss since joining AEW.
Surprise Appearance At Prestige Wrestling
The day after her major pay-per-view match, Storm was present at the Prestige Wrestling event in Portland. She was on hand to sign autographs and take photos with fans. During the show, she also entered the ring to deliver a speech to the live crowd, capping off a busy and successful weekend for the champion.
With her title defense against Moné behind her, Storm’s next challenger is already waiting. At All In, Athena won the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match, earning a future opportunity at the AEW Women’s World Championship. A date for the championship match between Storm and Athena has not yet been announced.
