There appears to be a big reason why Thunder Rosa lost the NWA Women’s Championship to Serena Deeb earlier tonight.
Dave Meltzer is reporting that he heard that this title change would likely be happening and both WWE and AEW had an interest in Rosa.
Nothing has been confirmed but Rosa dropping the title may be a big indication that she is WWE-bound since they would require her to drop the title and to stop taking independent dates before making her WWE debut. Rosa had been appearing on AEW Dynamite over the last couple of months so they would not have required her to drop the title.
Rosa got her start in the wrestling business 2014 and has worked all over the world for several promotions including Lucha Underground, Ring Of Honor, Women Of Wrestling and she started working in the NWA last year. Her stock has risen tremendously over the last year and she has become one of the top female wrestlers in the country.
Rosa owns Mission Pro Wrestling in Buda, TX.
