It looks like WWE is close to signing a top wrestling free agent.
He is not signed yet but, as reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kevin Kross met with Triple H this week. That is what multiple sources told Dave Meltzer. The betting line is that Kross will end up in WWE. His girlfriend, Scarlett Bordeaux, is already signed to the NXT brand but they have yet to prominently feature her on TV yet. Kross and Bordeaux were also an on-screen couple during their time in Impact Wrestling so, perhaps, WWE is waiting to sign Kross so she can be paired with him again.
Kross has wrestled all over the world. He was featured on the Global Force Wrestling TV pilot a few years ago and has had at least one tryout with WWE before. He also appeared on at least one episode of Monday Night Raw as an enhancement talent.
Kross was scheduled for a big feud with Cain Velasquez in AAA but that fizzled out because Velasquez ended up signing with WWE. While in Impact, he was pushed as one of their top stars so it’s clear that his stock has risen in the last couple of years.
Another thing that seems to point towards Kross signing with WWE is that Triple H is said to be high on him. He certainly has the look of a guy who could become a top star on NXT or the main roster.
